Aperion Care expands from 16 to 100 buildings
in 15 years of working with Better Co., and counting
The Background
YAM Management, a successful healthcare company, owned 16 nursing homes in the state of Illinois, and provided superior care services with a focus on compassionate care.

“We didn’t have a defined
brand. We didn’t have
a defined purpose.”

Yosef Meystel President, Aperion Care
The Challenge
With an acronym name, almost no graphic elements, and no brand recognition, YAM was getting lost amongst the competition. Each building had a different title and there was no cohesive brand experience that prospects could connect to.
The 3 Part Solution
1. Strategy

Develop a strong, cohesive brand that reflects the company’s vision, and brings clarity and consistency across the board.

New Name: Aperion Care

The word Aperion, meaning ‘palace’ in Hebrew, sends a subconscious message of strength, trust and stability. Modern, effective for SEO, and still forward-thinking, Aperion is a powerful name that held endless possibilities for future growth.

2. Design

Create stand-out visuals that are uniquely recognized as belonging to this brand.

Denim

Pantone 2167C

Mustard

Pantone 131C

New Logo: ‘The hug’ icon

Different from the clichéd hands or hearts that many healthcare brands use, the abstract ‘hug’ icon represents the patient and caregiver embracing each other, embodying warmth and caregiving. This icon also visually depicts a path with points along the way, symbolizing Aperion Care’s guidance through the patient’s journey of recovery and care, while still connoting professionalism and expertise.

Logo colors:

The denim blue symbolizes comfort and trust, while the mustard gold adds elegance, representing hope and optimism. Together, these colors reflect Aperion Care’s commitment to guiding patients with compassion and expertise through their recovery journey.

3. Marketing

Create exceptional marketing assets that stand out from the competition and work to exponentially increase admissions and referrals.

The Results
From 16 to 100 buildings
From 1 to 6 states
From 1 to 4 management platforms

When we started, I had four buildings. Now we have about 100.

“Since we started working with Better Co. 15 years ago, a lot has changed in my business. We now have name recognition in the industry. People know who we are. And we’ve grown tremendously. Also we now work with four different management platforms, and we started with just one.”
